I started devouring raw fish when I was 8 years old in a town called Reno, Nevada. In the early 90's, the lucrative Casino industry started flying fresh fish to Reno, making all-you-can-eat sushi a common, affordable meal. This unique history, along with my cousins' Japanese heritage, turned me in to a life long raw fish fanatic, and a wildly mediocre sushi chef.
